The dead Man’s curve
Cabana macabre was born in a swimming pool
She began her career at age 15, singing at funerals. By the time she was out of high school, she was performing regularly in community theater, weddings, corporate events, and low budget horror films. In college, she majored in operatic voice and mortuary science, while working at a funeral home by day and singing at night.
A few years ago, soprano mortician Cabana Macabre was crashing the swimming pool of a luxury hotel when she got a call from a nerdlesque troupe. The emcee of their show had laryngitis, could she possibly fill in? Absolutely. Soon she was not only hosting, but singing as well. And eventually, she was dancing!
Cabana took her first title in a Miss Twin Peaks pageant in 2017. A lifelong fan of most things horror and sci-fi related, especially cult films, she built the majority of her first few years of performances on fandoms, establishing herself as a nerdlesque performer. She later found her stride in high camp and classic comedy stripteases.
She has since performed all over the United States as one of a small handful of opera singing burlesque performers. Her love for classic costuming meets with her powerhouse voice, singing everything from Broadway showstoppers to classic arias to hair metal ballads while she shimmies and shakes her rhinestoned derriere to the delight of audiences.
